Kakadu Billabong Safari Camp lies on Murumburr clan Country on the edge of the Jim Jim river system, approximately 60-70kms downstream of the world famous Jim Jim Falls.
Enjoy our peaceful environment on the banks of our private billabong, filled with lilies, bird and animal life - including Saltwater Crocodiles!
A short 15km drive from the Cooinda Lodge, an all wheel drive is needed to travel on the dirt road to our private camp.
What's included:
All bedding and towels will be provided in your cabin. The cabins all have solar panels fitted, which are connected to USB and lighter sockets, so you can charge your batteries and devices. There is also a small 12V fan in each cabin.There are composting toilets and solar hot water showers at the camp site (Note: the showers and taps are billabong water which it is not certified for drinking).
What to bring:
You will need to bring all personal items, including toiletries (please make sure these are environmentally friendly), personal medication, sanitary products, sunscreen and insect repellent, torches and cameras, etc, and of course comfortable outdoor clothing.
Our camp is self-catering however there are minimal cooking facilities available. A range of dining options are available at Cooinda Lodge (15km away) or Jabiru (50km away).
